Problems with comments and links in older posts

Sorry to spam the blog with all these notes about WordPress conversion, but I wanted to mention three issues I’ve discovered with the older posts that may affect you.

First, WordPress imported a ton of comments from the old blog. I think it pulled in every comment from Quick Blogcast, even the ones marked as spam. I spent several hours deleting more than 2,000 spam comments, but if you stumble across comments trying to sell you something or that contain nothing but links, please let me know so I can remove them. (Just tell me the URL where they are and I’ll find them.)

Second, I noticed some comments that I don’t remember seeing before. If you posted a comment asking a question and you didn’t receive a reply, either post a follow-up comment or drop me a note. Sorry if I missed anything important.

Third, a lot of the posts have links that refer to older posts. Because WordPress changed all of the posts’ URLs, those links won’t work any more. Use the site’s search page to find the appropriate page. If you can’t find it, let me know and I’ll try to help.
